Save the Children Concert at Sidmouth

Image
The Isca Ensemble will be staging a special concert in aid of Save the Children in Sidmouth Parish Church on Saturday 30 June commencing at 8.00 p.m. I'm told that the programme is a particularly exciting one featuring over thirty talented string players of the Ensemble:- Vivaldi : Concerto for Four Violins in B minor Abinoni : Adagio for strings and organ Poulenc : Concerto for Organ, strings and timpani (Bob Millington – soloist) Rameau : Rondeau from‘Les Indes Galantes’ Britten : Variations on a theme of Frank Bridge Op. 10 As far as I know, no Friend of Fairlynch Museum is involved in this concert, and the only museumy connection is that the Parish Church is only a few minutes' walk from Sidmouth Museum . But it sounds like a great concert for a very good cause.   Tickets will be available in advance from Paragon Books, 38 High Street, Sidmouth, Tel: 01395 514516 or at the door.
