Known for his aristocratic interpretations of Beethoven and the great masters of the nineteenth and twentieth century piano repertoire, he performs all over the world and was awarded a CBE in the 2005 New Year's Honours List, having been awarded the OBE in 1977. John Lill's concert career spans over fifty years. His rare talent emerged at an early age - he gave his first piano recital at the age of nine.
